CONTEST: In 1961 my grandfather proposed to my grandmother. For the past few years my grandparents have been trying to find a picture of the place where this happened. They have not been able to find it, and neither have I. My grandmother is in the final stages of cancer and I would like to be able to give her this before I lose the chance.
Anyone who participates in this PLEASE share it with other people. The more people that are helping the better the chances. I will provide all the knowledge I have and the winner will be the first one to provide me with a link to the picture. Please note the link to me.
Clues: The restaurant was called Burger Mat (it may be one word [BurgerMat], but I am not sure), It was located in an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County. My grandfather says it was the only burger place in the area back then. The cross streets are Pioneer Blvd. and Carson Blvd.
The site is now a 76 gas station and its address is:
11807 Carson Blvd.
Hawaiian Gardens, CA 90716
